My Story
A Life of Leadership, Service & Empowerment
“From grassroots beginnings to community champion, my journey is powered by purpose.”
Rooted in Hawai‘i, Inspired by Community
From the shores of Hawai‘i Kai to the lively streets of Kaimukī, through Waimānalo’s warm embrace, the heart of Waikīkī, and the quiet valleys of Nu‘uanu, I’ve been blessed to call many corners of O‘ahu home.
Each place taught me something different: the quiet lessons of resilience, the joy of belonging, and the deep meaning of ohana. But it’s here, in District 26, from Makiki and Punchbowl to Papakōlea and Tantalus, where I learned what community truly means.
Community isn’t just about the place we live. It’s the auntie who checks in on her neighbor, the uncle who fixes a friend’s roof after a storm, the families who show up for one another in good times and bad. It’s people standing shoulder to shoulder, because in Hawai‘i, we don’t turn away from each other. We lift each other up.

A Life of Service and Leadership
From a young age, I've been deeply passionate about public service. I began my journey by running for student council at 'Āina Haina Elementary and Kaiser High School. This path led me to serve as Student Body President at Kapiolani Community College and as a Student Senator at Honolulu Community College. These invaluable experiences taught me that true leadership goes beyond titles; it's rooted in actively listening, being present, and courageously doing what is right, even when it's challenging.
Those early experiences shaped how I see our shared responsibility.
I've organized fundraisers for local families, mentored youth, supported cultural programs, and coordinated emergency response efforts during crises. Every effort, big or small, came from one belief: that when we care for one another, Hawai'i thrives.
Resilience, Empathy, and Commitment
But my journey hasn’t always been easy.
I worked as a civilian employee with the Department of Defense and tried three times to enlist in the U.S. Air Force and Navy. Each time, I was turned away, not because I wasn’t qualified, but because of who I am: a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Not long after, I lost my civilian job amid growing hostility toward diversity and inclusion across federal agencies.
Those experiences broke me open, but they didn’t break me down. They taught me empathy. They taught me strength. And they reminded me that true service doesn’t require a uniform; it requires heart.
Today, I continue to honor that calling as a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, a team of volunteers dedicated to serving America’s communities, saving lives, and shaping futures. That work grounds me in what matters most: giving back, protecting others, and standing ready to serve whenever and wherever I’m needed.
Those lessons have shaped my vision for our future, one rooted in fairness, unity, and aloha.

A Vision for Hawai‘i’s Future
I’m running to represent District 26 because I believe in a Hawai‘i where everyone can thrive, where our kūpuna are cared for, our keiki have opportunities to learn and grow, and our working families can afford to stay rooted in the place they love.
Together, we can:
-
Expand affordable housing so families can remain in their communities
-
Invest in education and safe, supportive schools
-
Protect our environment and ensure clean, vibrant parks for all
-
Strengthen trust and accountability in government
This campaign is about unity, building bridges across differences, and creating solutions that lift everyone.
Together, We Rise
I've carried the lessons of my journey, resilience, empathy, and unwavering commitment with me every step of the way.
This campaign isn't just about me. It's about us. About every neighbor who works tirelessly and still finds time to give. About our kūpuna who share their wisdom and our keiki who dream of a brighter future.
I'm running because I believe in Hawai'i, in the people, the spirit, and the strength that unite us.
I am here to serve every neighbor, every family, every voice in District 26 and beyond. Because when we rise together, grounded in aloha and committed to one another, no challenge is too great, and no dream is out of reach.
Together, we can build the Hawai'i we all deserve.
VISION
A Fresh Perspective for Inclusive Progress
"My goal is to be a bold, responsive voice for the people of Hawai‘i State House District 26, one that listens with compassion, leads with integrity, and delivers real results. I’m running to restore trust in government, protect the dignity of every resident, and fight for affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, and opportunities that uplift our keiki, kūpuna, and working families. Together, we will build a more just, inclusive, and resilient Hawai‘i, because our future starts with leadership that puts people first."
