ALOHA + URGENCY

Building a Hawaiʻi Where Working Families Can Live and Thrive

Today, we are facing a cost-of-living crisis that is forcing working families out of the island we call home. People are being priced out of their own communities, pushed out of neighborhoods they helped build, and shut out of the decisions that are shaping their future.

This is not new. It is not surprising. It is the result of years of inaction while the cost of housing, rent, food, gas, and basic necessities continues to rise far beyond what working families can afford. And now we are at a breaking point. Families are being forced to choose between survival and staying in Hawaiʻi at all.

That is unacceptable.

If we continue to ignore this crisis, we will lose the very people who keep our communities running. Teachers, service workers, healthcare staff, and local families who are the backbone of our islands will be forced to leave simply because they can no longer afford to stay.

I am running to change that.

  • I will bring urgency to affordability.

  • I will fight to expand housing opportunities for local residents.

  • And I will make it clear that the people who live and work in Hawaiʻi must come first in every decision that shapes our future.
